Notice Regarding Fire Hydrants in Evergreen Ridge (Keyport)

The pump that supplies water to the local fire hydrants has been replaced and is now operational. The fire hydrants have been unbagged and your emergency responder agency, Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue, is aware that fireflow is now available from the hydrants.

KPUD will be conducting fireflow testing the pump replacement on February 15 - 16, 2023, from 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.

Experiencing some discolored water and decreased pressure during during this testing is normal. Please contact us if you lose water completely.

KPUD has been working diligently on replacing the pump that supplies water to your local fire hydrants. We anticipate completion by the end of February.

This is a courtesy notification as you may notice black bags covering fire hydrants in your area. You do not need to take action. Emergency services personnel have been notified.

Kitsap Public Utility District (KPUD) has identified a mechanical issue in the pump that supplies water to your local fire hydrants.

Your emergency responder agency, Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue, is aware of the issue, and will implement appropriate responses in the event of a fire emergency.

This pump also provides water pressure to your home during area power outages. In the event of a power outage, it is likely you will lose water pressure.
