8:30 p.m.
- The majority of services have been restored.
- If you are experiencing problems connecting after restoration, please contact your internet service provider directly for assistance.
- Unfortunately, we are anticipating a few more hours until complete restoration.
- Crews will continue repair work throughout the night.
- This will be the last update for the evening.
4:45 p.m.
- Some business connections are beginning to be restored.
- We anticipate full restoration by 8:00 p.m. this evening, however crews will work through the night to complete repair.
- Thank you for your patience during this time.
1:00 p.m.
- Crews were able to temporarily reroute connections, and residential customers in McCormick Village should be restored at this time.
- Once mainline is restored, connectivity will be rerouted.
- Business connections remain without service.
- Repairs are still in progress; some splicing of fibers for connection has started.
12:30 p.m.
- Crews continue to work to repair lines
- ETA for restoration is still unknown but will likely take all day.
9:30 a.m.
- Damage to fiber is extensive, and new fiber will need to be installed.
- ETA for restoration is still unknown.
- Updates will be posted here when available.
- Outage has been caused by a truck striking the fiber lines and pulling them down.
8:15 a.m.
- The fiber outage is impacting several South Kitsap businesses and all residential customers in McCormick Village (Port Orchard)
8:00 a.m.
- We are aware of an incident impacting the fiber lines by the Bremerton Airport.
- KPUD Crews are currently enroute.
- Once the extent on of impact is known, more information will be posted here.
