UPDATE North Peninsula Water System (Kingston): Water Main Break

ATTENTION: North Peninsula Water Customers (Kingston) - Water Main Break 

July 26 - 2:39 p.m.

The precautionary boil water advisory has been cancelled. If you were part of the advisory, you will receive another door hanger this afternoon explaining that water quality tests show no contamination.

Your water is safe to drink. It is no longer necessary to boil your tap water.

July 25 - 8:43 a.m.

Lindvog Road is closed to all traffic from NE West Kingston Road to just south of the Kingston Skatepark. Kitsap County Public Works will be assessing roadway and determine re-opening.

July 25 - 7:00 a.m. 

Repair was completed at approximately 2:00 a.m. and water service has been restored.

KPUD crews have flushed the water main, and you may experience discolored water. if so, please flush your service line from an outside hose bib for 10 minutes, and call us at 360-779-7656 if that did not clear your water.

NOTE: A small number of customers near NE West Kingston Road between Lindvog Road and Dulay Road received door hangers last night with a precautionary boil advisory. The precautionary advisory is still in place. The main was flushed and bacterial tests will be taken to ensure that no contamination occurred during repair. We anticipate receiving the sample results by Wednesday. You will receive another door hanger with test results as soon as the information is available.

KPUD crews are onsite of a water main break at the corner of NE West Kingston Road and Lindvog Road in Kingston.

The majority of customers may notice a drop in water pressure, and a small number of customers near NE West Kingston Road between Lindvog Road and Dulay Road may experience a complete loss of water service.
