UPDATED: Fiber Internet Outage – Old Hansville/Country Woods

There are a number of power outages currently impacting areas throughout Kitsap County. Many of these outages are also impacting water service and fiber internet.

WATER SERVICE

  • UPDATE: All water systems should now be operating as usual.
  • If your power is on and you are experiencing a water service outage, please contact our Customer Service Team at 360-779-7656.
  • If your power is currently out, wait for your power to be restored, and then if water service has not returned, please contact our Customer Service Team at 360-779-7656.

FIBER INTERNET

11/21/24 – 9:40am – ATTN Hansville Fiber Customers

  • For the area within the boundary below (Old Hansville/Country Woods), crews are working to repair lines and splice fiber. We are hoping to have service restore at some point on Friday, November 22. If the power is still out at that time, an alternate power source will be necessary to power the outlet that internet equipment is plugged into for connection.

11/20/24 – 3:00pm – ATTN Hansville Fiber Customers

  • Internet service restored with the exception of the area inside the yellow outlined boundary on map below.
  • If you experience connectivity issues outside of the boundary below, please contact your ISP directly to report the issue.
  • For the area within the boundary below (Old Hansville/Country Woods) PSE must restore area and approve it for KPUD entry prior to internet service repair. There is no current ETA for restoration.

11/20/24 – 9:30am – ATTN Hansville Fiber Customers

  • Storm damage has caused a widespread outage impacting internet service to all customers in north Hansville include within orange outlined boundary on map below.
  • Crews are currently have a plan of repair. Lines must be repaired and rerouted. No ETA for restoration of service.

  • Internet services have been impacted by downed trees (including several areas on Bainbridge Island and in Hansville). KPUD crews are currently working through the system to identify any outages and needed repairs.
  • KPUD and ISPs work closely together to manage outage information, so please report any outages directly to your chosen ISP to ensure appropriate tracking of concerns.
  • If your power is out and you do not have a generator, you will not have internet.
  • If you have a generator that powers the outlet that internet equipment is plugged into, you will have internet unless KPUD infrastructure has been damaged by the storm (downed trees, etc.).
