Contact Person Phone Number EmailNotice is hereby given that Public Utility District No. 1 of Kitsap County (KPUD) will receive sealed bid proposals for the South Bainbridge Well 10 Iron and Manganese Removal Project on March 2, 2023, until 2:00 p.m. at KPUD Administrative Offices (1431 Finn Hill Road, Poulsbo, Washington 98370), where they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids are being asked for provision of all necessary labor, equipment, materials and appurtenances required to construct new iron and manganese removal treatment plant facilities onsite, including a 12 feet by 30 feet CMU building enclosure, iron and manganese ATEC filter package pre-purchased by KPUD, piping, valves, instrumentation, and appurtenances associated with but not furnished as part of the packaged treatment system, sodium hypochlorite feed system, potassium permanganate feed system, backwash recycle tank and associated pump, yard and process piping, instrumentation and appurtenances, associated sitework and landscaping, and other work as shown on the project plans and specifications.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on February 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the project site; located approximately 650’ east from the intersection of Lynwood Center Road NE and NE Baker Hill Road on Bainbridge Island (Tax ID # 042402-1-054-2005 [47.606527, -122.544354]). After the meeting, a tour of the site will be conducted. This will be the only tour of the site.
Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to prime bidders, subcontractors, and vendors from BXWA online at www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "Kitsap Public Utility District". Plans and specifications are also on file at KPUD Administrative Offices located at 1431 Finn Hill Road, Poulsbo, WA 98370, copies may be obtained at a non-refundable cost of $250 each between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday or by appointment. To be considered a plan holder for addenda, a contractor must register with BXWA at www.bxwa.com. Only registered plan holders will receive email notices of addenda and other updates.
