TEL-260251 Hintzville LUD #43 Phase 4 Fiber Project

Notice is hereby given that Kitsap Public Utility District (KPUD) will receive sealed bid proposals for TEL-260251 Hintzville LUD #43 Phase 4 Fiber Project on May 4, 2023, until 1:00 p.m., at the KPUD’s Office, 1431 Finn Hill Rd, Poulsbo, Washington 98370, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly thereafter.

Bids are being asked for provision of all necessary labor, equipment and materials required for the installation of the fiber cables from the intersection on Gold Creek Road West and West Camp Sundown Road, Seabeck to the Hintzville community using underground construction methods (trench, directional bore) for ground conditions with cover per Kitsap County Standards. Placement of 2” conduit along the ROW following the utility easement and placing ¾” minimum duct w/ 12” cover to homes included in the project. Contractor will coordinate with participating homeowners for the proper location and installation of the conduit/duct and demarc placements all as indicated in the drawings and other specifications which can be found on this webpage. Splicing of fiber is not part of the scope of work being bid for this project. KPUD has pre-purchased and will provide the fiber, vaults, and storage racks to the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible for including all other materials necessary for construction of the project in their bid including but not limited to: strand, suspension clamps, 2” conduit (rolled and duct), anchors, preforms, lashing wire, lashing clamps, straps and spacers, conduit bends, etc.

To be considered a plan holder for addenda, a contractor must register with KPUD by sending an email to pdressel@kpud.org. The email must identify the desire to be added to the plan holders list and include: project name, contractor name, contact name, contact email address, and contact phone number.
