Community Meeting for Water Use Efficiency Goals
The core purpose of this community meeting is to set measurable Water Use Efficiency (WUE) goals through a public process as required by Washington State law and the Washington State Department of Health WUE rules. These goals help your water system and community plan for efficient water use now and into the future.
KPUD is working to re-establish the WUE goals for all 28 of the KPUD-owned Group A Water Systems which is required every six years. This community meeting will focus on Proposed Water Use Efficiency Goals and Public Comment & Discussion.
Proposed Water Use Efficiency Goals
Staff will discuss proposed updates to the Water Use Efficiency (WUE) goals and explain how these goals were developed. The discussion will include the timeline for implementation, how progress will be measured, and what the proposed goals mean for customers and the broader community.
Public Comment and Discussion
Customers and community members will have an opportunity to ask questions, share comments, and provide feedback on the proposed Water Use Efficiency goals. Input received will help inform next steps and the final adoption of the goals.
