Public Records Request

All records maintained by KPUD are available for public inspection unless law specifically exempts them. You are entitled to access public records under reasonable conditions, and to copies of those records upon paying the costs of making the copy. In most cases, you do not have to explain why you want the records. However, specific information may be necessary to process your request. KPUD may require information necessary to establish if disclosure would violate certain provisions of law.

Please complete the KPUD Public Records Request Form and email it to the Clerk of the Board.

Per RCW 42.56.070(8), requests for list of individuals for commercial purposes are exempt from disclosure. “Commercial purpose” includes a business activity by any form of business enterprise intended to generate revenue or financial benefit.

More information about obtaining public records can be found on the Washington State Office of the Attorney General website.
