Kitsap Water Festival
Salmon Tours
Each fall, Kitsap Salmon Tours celebrates the return of salmon to our local streams, which is a sign of a healthy ecosystem and thriving community. The 2025 event, held on November 1, brought together local organizations, including KPUD, to share how we can all help protect salmon habitat.
Our Water. Their Water. It’s All Connected. At the KPUD booth, visitors learned that the same rain that replenishes groundwater for our drinking water also feeds the streams that support salmon. What happens on land affects both water quality and salmon health.
Visitors of all ages were invited to take the Salmon Pledge, committing to simple actions such as conserving water, preventing pollution, maintaining septic systems, and caring for our streams.
