The Kitsap Public Utility District (KPUD) Board of Commissioners voted to place a measure on the November 3, 2026, General Election ballot asking Kitsap County voters whether to grant KPUD authority to provide electric utility service.
As part of the election process, KPUD is seeking community members to be considered for appointment to the committees that will prepare the official arguments for and against the ballot measure for the Kitsap County Local Voters' Pamphlet.
Interested Kitsap County residents are encouraged to complete the online application by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The online application and other resources can be found on the KPUD website at Exploring Electric Service in Kitsap County – Kitsap Public Utility District. Committee appointments will be made by the Board during a Special Board Meeting on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
