KPUD to Hold Special Board Meeting for Public Comment on Electric Service
The Kitsap Public Utility District Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting to receive public comment on electric service in Kitsap County. The meeting is intended to provide an opportunity for residents, businesses, and community members to share their experiences, priorities, and perspectives directly with the Board.
This public listening session follows months of expressed community input regarding the concept of public power in Kitsap County. The Board has not yet made any decisions regarding electric utility service or any potential future actions. No presentation or proposal is planned, and no decisions will be made during the meeting. Community input will help inform the Board's understanding of public perspectives as it considers whether any future action is warranted. KPUD does not currently provide electric service.
