In compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Safe Drinking Water Act, KPUD tests drinking water supplies monthly for bacteria and other contaminants and we provide annual reports of water quality.
These annual reports are referred to as Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR), and are required to be made available to Group A water system customers by July 1 of each year for the year prior. CCR’s also include a Water Use Efficiency report, which details the specific system’s water usage over the previous year.
KPUD drinking water meets or exceeds all water quality standards as set forth in the EPA Safe Drinking Water Act.
If you do not see your water system in this list, and it is managed by KPUD, it is likely a Group B water system (serves fewer than 15 connections), which is not regulated by the EPA Safe Drinking Water Act and not subject to this requirement. If you do not know the name of your water system, you can use the Kitsap Pubic Health interactive map to search your address to locate your property details including water source, which is the name of your water system.
